Frequently asked questions
How many people does it sleep?
Up to 9: a queen bed in Bedroom 1, a queen bed in Bedroom 2, two twin beds in Bedroom 3, a pull-out queen sofa bed in the den, and a full couch in the living room.
How much does it cost?
Standard rates are $175 a night for Sunday to Thursday nights and $199 for Friday and Saturday nights, with higher rates on some holiday and event dates. There is a $172 cleaning fee, and taxes are calculated at confirmation. See Rates & Availability.
How do I book direct?
Choose your dates on the Book Direct page and send a request. We confirm availability and your final total, then email you payment instructions. Nothing is charged when you send the request. You can also book on Airbnb or Vrbo.
How do I pay for a direct booking?
After we confirm your request by email, you pay by Zelle, Cash App or Venmo using the details in that email (also on the Payment & Policies page once set up). Please send money only after you receive our confirmation, and never follow payment instructions from anyone else.
What is the cancellation policy?
On Airbnb or Vrbo, the policy shown on your booking page applies. For a direct request, we send the cancellation terms with your final total before you pay.
Is there parking?
Yes, free parking on the property for 3 vehicles.
How does check-in work?
Self check-in with a smart lock. We send your arrival details with your booking confirmation.
What time is checkout?
Checkout is 11:00 AM. There's a short checklist in the house rules below, and you don't need to strip the beds.
Are pets allowed?
Pets welcome, ask ahead. Please contact us before booking so we can confirm.
Can we walk to Old Town?
Yes, the cottage is walkable to Old Town restaurants, galleries and shops. The Airbnb listing notes about a 15-minute walk to McDonald Park and the Folk Art Museum.
Can we rent a golf cart?
Golf carts are available to rent from local vendors, and none is provided with the rental. One vendor is Quality Custom Carts (734 US-90, Bay St. Louis). Reserve ahead. See Explore.
Do you send text messages?
Only if you opt in, and only about your reservation (no marketing), about 3 to 8 messages per stay. Reply STOP to opt out. See SMS details.

House rules
You'll be staying in someone's home, so please treat it with care and respect.
- Guests: up to 9 overnight guests.
- Pets: Pets welcome, ask ahead.
- Check-in: self check-in with a smart lock. Arrival details come with your booking confirmation.
- Checkout is 11:00 AM. Before you leave, please:
- Place used towels in the tub
- Take all belongings
- Put trash in the outdoor receptacle
- Turn off lights and electronics
- Set the Nest thermostat to 77°
- Close the windows
- Lock the front door
- Cameras: exterior security cameras at the front door and driveway.
- Golf carts: none is provided with the rental; carts can be rented from local vendors.
- Booking terms: the rules and policies shown on your Airbnb or Vrbo booking apply to bookings made there. Direct requests receive the booking terms with the final total.
